Day 01: Arrive Delhi/ Dharamshala- Overnight Volvo Bus
Arrive Delhi in the afternoon.
Delhi is the capital of India- the largest democratic and 2nd most populous country in the world and the city has seen its rise and fall several times. New Delhi is the 8th city built by British. Delhi is famous for its beautiful monuments built by different emperors, which can be seen during the city tour.
You will be well received on your arrival at the airport and transfer to Bus station to board overnight Volvo Bus to Dharamshala.
The Bus will stop on the way for dinner at local restaurant, where you can have your dinner (on direct payment).

Day 02: Arrive Dharamshala
Arrive Dharamshala at around 7am.
Dharamshala is a beautiful hill station in the state of Himachal Pradesh, situated at an altitude from 1400Mtr to 1900Mtr from the sea level. It is divided into two parts, the lower and the upper Dharamshala. Upper Dharamshala is called Mcleodganj, the seat of His Holiness, the XIVth Dalai Lama and the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile. Mc Leodganj is named after David McLeod, the British Lieutenant-Governor of Punjab. It is one of the best tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh popular for its scenic & natural beauty.
You will be well received on your arrival at Dharamshala Bus station and transfer to hotel.
Arrive Hotel and check into your hotel.
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the morning at leisure.
In the afternoon, proceed for walking tour of Mcleodganj area covering, the main Buddhist temple, Tsuglagkhang, commonly known as Dalai Lama Temple. The complex houses the Namgyal Monastery, which trains monks for rituals associated with the temple. Also visit Bhagsu Nag Temple & water fall, Dal Lake, Naddi, Triund
In the evening, walk around the Mall road, where Tibetan refugees display their crafts to sell.
Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 03: Dharamshala
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for full day tour of Dharamshala, visiting Norbulingka Institute, Karmapa Monastery or Gyuto Monastery, Chinmaya Tapovan, Chamunda Devi, Gopalpur Zoo, Palampur Tea Garden and Baijnath Temple.
Return to hotel in the afternoon.
In the evening, walk around the Mall road for shopping etc.
Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 04: Dharamshala/ Dalhousie (120Kms & 4hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Dalhouse.
Dalhousie is a popular hill station in the state of Himachal Pradesh, which has been named after the famous British Governor General, Lord Dalhousie. Spread out over the five hills (Kathlog, Potreys, Tehra, Bakrota and Balun), Dalhousie is full of colonial charm of British Raj.
Arrive Dalhousie and check into your hotel.
In the afternoon, proceed for city tour of Dalhousie, visiting some beautiful Churches. St. John church is the oldest one built in 1863, St. Francis was built in 1894, St. Andrew in 1903 and St. Patric in 1909.
Also visit Panchpula (3Kms)- a picturesque spot was built in memory of the freedom fighter Sardar Ajit Singh. Subhash Baoli (1Kms)- is a beautiful spot surrounded by majestic trees and it is said that Subhash Chandra Bose spent a lot of time here in 1937. Bara Pathar (4Kms)- is a small temple amidst a thick forest.

Day 05: Dalhousie- Excursion to Khajjiar
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit Khajjiar.
Khajjiar is a lovely place and often called India's Mini Switzerland. There is a landmark point near the main ground, which showing the distance of Switzerland from there. This is a small hill station in the state of Himachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 1950Mtr from the sea level. The main attraction of Khajjiar is the green Saucer shaped ground surrounded by thick deodar trees. The small lake in the middle of the ground gives a feather to this beautiful spot. This is a magical place with snowcapped mountains all around.
Arrive Khajjiar and enjoy the beauty of this picturesque spot, which is full of natural beauty and a real paradise.
One can go for a horse ride around the ground.

Day 06: Dalhousie/ Amritsar (190Kms & 4-5hrs drive)
After early breakfast at hotel, drive to Amritsar.
Amritsar is a holy city in the state of Punjab. The city is famous for its Golden Temple. Amritsar is a combination of 2 words Amrit and Sar. Amrit means “elixir” and Sar means sarovar or lake, which means the "holy pool of nectar" around the Golden Temple. Amritsar is a spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh religion and famous for its unique Gurdwara (place of worship)- The Golden Temple, which was initiated by Guru Ramdaas Ji- the fourth Sikh Guru and it was completed in 1601 by his successor Guru Arjan Dev Ji. Today, it is a major pilgrimage centre for Sikh and one of the most popular tourist destinations in India.
Arrive Amritsar and check into your hotel.
In the afternoon, proceed for city tour of Amritsar, visiting the famous Golden Temple- a sacred Sikh shrine, which attracts pilgrims from all over the world. Jallianwala Bagh (Garden) is the site of the 1919 Amritsar massacre. On April 13, 1919 British Indian Army soldiers opened fire on an unarmed gathering of men, women and children at this garden and killed around 1600 people. One can visit a beautiful memorial built on the site and bullet holes can also be seen on the walls and adjoining buildings. The well inside the park is also a protected monument, in which many people jumped to save themselves.
In the later afternoon, proceed to visit Wagah Border, to see the border retreat ceremony, which is unique and worth visiting.
Return to hotel in the evening.
In the evening, if you wish, you can visit the Golden Temple to see the night ceremony, where the holy book Guru Granth Sahib is carried to its resting place and same ceremony is repeated in the early morning, when the holy book carried to the main temple for the day.
Overnight in Amritsar.
Day 07: Amritsar/ Delhi- Train & Delhi/ Fly Back Home
This early morning, you will be transferred to Amritsar railway station to board SHATABADI EXPRESS (0515/ 1115) to Delhi.
Arrive Delhi and transfer to airport to board your flight back home with sweet memories of your Himachal Trip with Dependable Travel Solutions (India) !!
